How do I change the display from the "comma" separation of significant digits to the "decimal" separation? This is the most popular question I get!
To change the deciam point from a "," to a ".":
o Turn the calculator OFF.
o Press and hold the "ON" key, then press and hold the "." key.
o Release the "ON" key, then release the "." key.
To change from Radians or Gradients mode to Degrees mode:
o Press Blue shift key "(g)".
o Press the "7" key.
To reset the calculator:
o Turn the calculator off.
o Press and hold the "ON" key, then press the "-" key.
o Release the "ON" key, then the "-" key.
o Press any key to clear the "Pr Error".

Jan lives in Germany and made a replacement Curta clearing
ring out of stainless steel on a computer controlled
laser cutting machine. Once the programming was done for one,
it was an easy matter to crank out an additional quantity. So, he's
now offering them for (U.S.) $10.00 for TWO clearing rings, one to
replace your broken one and one for a spare for the next time
it breaks :-( Note, these are as received straight from the laser
cutter, so will require some final clean up, polishing and
(optionally) painting. He also has about 50 rivets and will
include those at no additional charge until they run out. To
order, he asks that you send him an email note with your
request and mailing address and he'll send them out. He
asks that payment be made with cash or international money
order and that you include a picture postcard from your home
town. (thanks to Greg Saville for this info)
Email your request to Jan at: Jan.Meyer@t-online.de
